Good Neighbour Co. began with a simple moment between a father and his daughter.

Ben, a single dad from Adelaide, Australia, found himself thinking about a question many parents quietly worry about.

His daughter Daisy was growing up with two homes.
Most of her friends had one.

And like any parent, he wondered:

How do you explain life’s differences in a way that makes a child feel safe, loved, and understood?

He searched for books that could help start those conversations — stories that gently explained big feelings and reassured children that love doesn’t change, even when life does.

But the kinds of books he was looking for were hard to find.

So Good Neighbour Co. was created to make them.

Our mission is simple:

To craft books that help children understand the world, celebrate life, and grow with kindness.

Every story we create is designed to help children navigate emotions, build empathy, and feel secure in the love around them — whether they live in one home, two homes, or somewhere in between.

Because childhood is full of questions.

And sometimes the right story can help children and parents find the words.
